The tohatsu 9.8 in port isaac on the previous page is now down to £795. That is getting pretty cheap!

I suspect its struggling as it's North Coast of Cornwall, so quite a drive.

I'm down there next week. I might have to make an offer if it's still for sale!

That does seem a fair price given the last couple of years but I can't help thinking that given we are in for a couple of years of high fuel and very high heating costs and that a lot of the furlough cash has now been thrown at stuff we could see boating stuff come smashing back down to earth at some point over the next 12 months?

I can't help thinking that for most this is a hobby and an expensive one which involved buying some big ticket items that then sit at home, not doing anything for 350 days of the year other than gnawing away at the owner's thoughts of selling. I just suspect that we are in a lull where it is ideal for selling off anything that we don't need/use but also a time to draw up a wish list as used prices could very well head back to fair value, even overshooting, as more people sell up and fewer people buy in.

That Tohatsu is really tempting but in the very cold light of day I find myself thinking that it's still over priced by double.

Surely you don't mean the Port Isaac 9.8... at £900 on the original ad it's back to around the stable £800-£1000 they've been for a decade. If it really has been reduced to £795 as Blankton mentioned fantastic value.

I do agree though we might be at the end of such motors selling for £1200+.

I notice there is still a lot of unspent commuting and holiday costs amassed over the past 2yrs or so burning a hole in some folks pockets. The judgement to be made is when to realise that needs saving for the seemingly harsh immediate future rather than spending on an unneeded new car.

Listed at 6am and a queue around the block already forming. It is just too cheap, so cheap most will pass it by as iffy. Someone will get the biggest bargain they ever had I think. Or the guy will see sense and relist it at £1800.

The boat has an aluminium bracket thing on one of the floor sections. Looks like it's for a steering console. Looking in the brochure, it seems to be a genuine item, I haven't seen one before.
