That is a weird one. So many signs it's not brand new... inc the anode condition above the prop which looks well nibbled by salt water.

Love the attempted "new" presentation with a veg box and bubble wrap pinched from the Tesco veg counter.

Total panic in Liverpool tonight as Scousers thought Boris said that by July every adult will be offered a job!

Maybe have a read here re the Yamaha 15HP on ebay https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...0037492620966/

Edit: Seems I should have screengrabbed it. Its been taken down, the gist of it was someone paid a deposit on it and then got ghosted. Beware.

Thanks samt. I've sent an eBay msg to the guy who was scammed. It looks like the scammer isn't from Liverpool, I think he's from the Midlands.
I'll be passing all the info I've got to him via the police.

Someone has sensibly bid £10000 on ebay to take this scammer down.

SIB's spotted on eBay thread

Nice work Steve, hope they get him but I’m always pessimistic about the police having the right tools to track down and nail these online scam b*****ds. Hopefully I’m wrong!

Good case in point why one should always use PayPal on eBay for protection, or cash/bank transfer on collection, never pay a deposit to an unknown seller before seeing the goods! I assume the Facebook guy did, otherwise he could just claim it back [emoji33]

I know 90% of people here know this anyways, but I think some nice people are too trusting in others selling online who will take advantage.

Hi PK, unfortunately the police couldn't have been any less interested if they tried. Not in their area and no crime, against me, had been committed.
I've got the scammers details including his bank account, HSBC in Coventry, but they are not interested. Strangely I've tried to get in touch with the guy on ebay who lost his deposit to pass the details onto him but he's not replied!
Fully agree with you, payment on ebay through PayPal or ebay themselves eveverytime. It just gives that added level of protection.

Ahh sad but I’m not surprised!

The in-laws filmed a woman with her whole upper body and hips hanging out of the passenger window of a car doing 70 down the M5, swearing at truckers and other cars.

They contacted Gloucester police (that was the area they were in at the time) with the footage and they were told “sorry that car isn’t registered in our area so there’s nothing we can do” wouldn’t even say they’d pass it on to the relevant people, just not interested.

WHAT?! Crazy.

Didn’t see this one get a mention, sold now but interesting to see a pre season price for an Aerotec that more that likely would need some glue. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224379593797

Yep it’s indeed one of our posters. A rare chance to get one of the last made in 2014 before Zodiac/Bombard went wonky. If the Elling actually arrives and meets our needs ours should come up by the summer (same age) but I bet there will be very few other newish ones on the market from now on.

Yes... too cheap given the short supply of a newish one but I don't think the forum member seller would mind me saying the stained floor, transom alloy plate mod and cut grab rails to fit Avon rubber rowlocks helped.
