We generally purchase 800 + L at a time for which Ian brings out a large stainless container with a fuel line connected, carried on his forklift.

He rubs his hands at £1.20 per L

It does pay to book thou, as the previous chaps have stated.

A couple of questions:
1. Are you still launching at Penzance. Everyone else is launching at Mylor and coming out of the Fal estuary. Could you launch from there as well or do you have fuel issues.
2. If you are still launching at Penzance we need to either:

-come right into Mounts Bay and RV with you
-or RV at say the Runnelstone
-or RV with you at Wolf Rock
we would prefer to go via Wolf Rock but I dont particularly like the idea of you going the 18miles or so on your tod in a smallish boat.

3. Your call. We will meet with your every desire!

Brian, Andrew All

I am sad to say Andy and I will not be able to make this trip

A problem with the Auto-lube oil tank float has been identified, resulting in the main oil tank pump not being activated when the level drops and more importantly no activation of the “low oil” alarm on the console.

Don’t really want to make the trip with a work around in place (asking for trouble), so will have to pass on this one until the replacement float arrives at a cost of £140+VAT

Hope everyone has a great trip, look forward to making the Fowy cruise.

Cheers Shaggy

Sorry about your float switch and even sorrier you wont be able to join us. Agree 100% with your decision though.

Any more takers? Weather looks as if it is unfolding the right way with the (mythical?) Azores high heading our way. Could be a scorcher.

I have always intended to make this trip, last year was fantastic, but as i said to Andy in an email last week it's out of my hands weather i get the boat back in time (in to the man who can for a few jobs) which although prommissed i would not like to put money on.

Everything else is in place and i will be launching at Plymouth. Where and when is a suggested RV for me?

Why dont you come directly to Falmouth?
It is almost exactly on your way.
We will be in the mouth of the Percuil River (1st turning on your right as you pass St. Anthonys Head and its lighthouse).
If you can make it by 10.30 - 11.00 and shout us on VHF Chan 77 we should easily meet up. It's about 40nmiles from QAB.
