when you adjust the screw rev the engine slightly...

when you adjust the screw rev the engine slightly then WAIT it takes a bit of time to use the fuel alredy there
1 turn is a full 360 but full in (to a pinch tight) then two out is a VERY good place...

Next time make sure that bow rope is INSIDE the boat if it comes undone and fouls the prop or anything else you will know about it, secondly its nicer to pull a dryish rope...

use plasticoat spray enamel on it after scuffing...

use plasticoat spray enamel on it after scuffing it up with 320 grit paper
then flat it with a scotchbrite pad and give it a couple or four coats of plasticoat laquer
