50 Hp 2-stroke wanted & Ce certificate problem

Dear All,

I am looking for a good used 50HP short shaft Mercury/Yamaha/Tohatsu for my thundercat/zapcat. I can buy a new motor but without a CE certificate, but then can't register it for use.

Has anyone encountered this problem regarding Ce certification due to EU emission law ? ( for two strokes )

You'll need to check - but IIRC you might be able to say it's for racing use (which on thundercats & zapcats is a defensible position), which allows you to purchase and use it.

Racing is certainly exempt. I wonder would that declaration make it back to the distributor - IIRC there is a thing with racing and warranty, like no warranty?
