Well, I did say we are on the heavy side!
Shame, I didn't want to have to buy another one relatively soon.
Will it get us up to the river speed limit at all?

River speed limit is 6mph, your boat won't plane with that motor but i guess it'll do 4- 6 mph

On a river speed isn't important, just enjoy the scenery/new hobby and WHEN you want a bigger outboard you have one to sell towards the upgrade cost

I doubt anyone ever buys the ideal combination first time

Yeesh this forum moves fast at times.

I live very close to mes marine. Buy plenty from him I do haha but he isn't the cheapest.

I've had a Europa sport a380 and a 25hp
Now got something a little smaller a 3.3m with a 4t 9.8 parsun.

Let me know when you want a different outboard I have a good source for good priced used engines around here.

And if you'd like to meet up sometime for a sib convoy let me know.
