OK, that means that we won't be calling at the submarine barrier, just four RIBs heading straight out of the Solent eastwards.

we will come over and give you a hand

when you come into LA and as you pass the Arun View on your right turn right and imediately left (this turning is opposite the foor bridge) keep on that road till you come to the visitor's center/RNLI and there you will see the public slip.

Now thats a much more friendly forecast:
Quote:
North Foreland to Selsey Bill.
24 hour forecast:
Wind: west 5 to 7 veering northwest 4 or 5, occasionally 6 in east.
Weather: rain then showers.
Visibility: moderate becoming good.
Sea State: moderate, becoming slight in west
So...anyone going to change their mind and come by sea?
Leaving Kenilworth in a few minutes, we you in Southampton.

Sorry mate.

Still showing Force 8 and 7 on metcheck so don't really want to head off by sea or recommend it to anyone else.

(As the trip mainly involves the river cruise and gathering for dins we'll be there for that! Andre has kindly said there will be plenty room on boats for the river bit .)

It may turn out easy peasy if wind stays from land tho'

Safe trip and see ye in LA.

I'm sure other people will post more after the weekend is over, but I just wanted to say thanks for a great day yesterday.

It was good to put some more names to faces, and the meal at the Arun View was excellent! Thanks to Andre and Phil for getting everyone together -- hope today goes well too.

Picture below is Farfetched, Seahawk II, Blue Ice and Juno rafted up at the Black Rabbit pub on the River Arun above Arundel.

A HUGE thanks to Andre & Phil for organising a great weekend. The trip up the river was great and made a nice change from wave hopping!

Trust everyone had a good trip over to Brighton & sorry we didn't join you, but we'll look forward to seeing the piccies later! We are definitely planning another trip over to LAmpton and an excursion to Brighton before the summer's out.

Great to see everyone again & we're looking forward to the next trip out & to seeing the Jackeens' new vessel very soon.

J&B

PS We were v. amused to find the winch strap on our trailer had been pulled all the way out and attached to the railings outside the harbour master's office this morning ... Ribsters or was it the girls from that hen night...?!!
