Go as crew and help with the fuel costs! That's what I did last year, I even assisted in a "kind" of rescue mid channel

I could well have space as Ive four suspension seats on the RIB. One for me and then three for crew. Ive a few mates who are interested but actually getting them to commit is another thing. (like herding cats)

If you, or anyone else, fancys joining me let me know and I will try to firm up crew numbers.

I'm interested in joining you on this cruise. We went to Alderney earlier this year with two other boats and whilst it was rough on the way there we enjoyed it and would love to make France - keep me posted on dates

bonjour, this is looking like a few are interested which is great.

Trimix, good idea to try and meet up prior. I will be out I the country now until sept 6th but hopefully we can arrange a time after that. Don't forget to get your boat SSR part3 registered if it is not already.

Alex, looks like there will be space, I may also have a space but if your boat can reach 20-25 knots no reason why you would not make it across as I want to cruise not race :-)

Cgf10, will keep you posted as it may be short notice depending on weather windows.

Can't wait.

Andy

Hi Andy,

I am registered already, so should be OK. I will get all the docs laminated and kept on the RIB.

(Ive been getting ready for Corsica, but apart from that and a passport I assume all I need is insurance, proof of ownership and an ICC)

When your back drop me an email and we can meet up.

I will be out this weekend trying out my plotter which is now connected to the engines, so I can see how much fuel Ive left. Also will be practicing steering just by compass or plotter or wishfull thinking. As opposed to following everyone else.

Cheers for now.

Thanks chaps! Come to think of it I think my passport has expired icc not a problem. Flares may be out of date however, I hear you can get a pretty hefty fine for having t.e.p's on board ?!

If this happens after the 14th, I would be happy to crew, helm, bale or make tea.
Regards
Steve
