Tender on roof of car - thoughts?

Morning all,
See pic below. I was wondering if many of you guys have done this? I can’t decide if the windscreen will deflect air over the top of it or if it will try to take off the whole time. I’d use a couple of decent ratchet straps to hold it down. Any horror stories?

Si

Hi Si, I use to put Redneck on the roof of the truck. Did this for at least 18 months until Mrs T complained it was getting a bit heavy to lift, I use a trailer now. Never had any problems when it was on the roof. Strap it down though the "D" rings not across the tubes as they flex to much.

Used to have the Aerotec on the roof quite a lot.

On our camping trips to Devon we used to take it to the beach that way on days when the RIB wasn't going in the water.

Thanks guys! I'm fitting an additional roof bar so i can secure the boat further forward and through the D-rings as recommended! much appreciated.
