Sonar+Paddle wheel remounting

I've had to move the sonar/paddle unit to make way for the new trim tabs set up - will it be okay to mount it here instead? -

it was perfect the whole time where it was, i'd go for that position again if I could, even at speed - it says in the manual that it is best position there

I'll give that a go then, mine cuts out as soon as you are moving ata a decent speed. Mine is mounted about 6 inches closer to the keel than yours was in its original position.
Cheers
