Ribcraft 4.8. - Honda 60hp - 2010 - value ?

Hi

I bought a ribcraft 4.8 with a honda 60hp, hull and engine 2010 a couple years ago and cleaned it up and used with family. Had all battery electrics replaced.

2 jockey seats. Blue tubes, white hull. Really good condition. All factory original. Fully serviced engine and hours around 300hrs. Seats and back rests recovered last year.

2019 new SBS trailer.

What would be a good price once the lockdowns over ?

First off, you'll have no problem selling it come the summer. Condition is everything and if it's presented right, with all receipts, work done, no reason you can't get £9k+ on a private sale. Engine does make a difference, so a mint Suzuki DF60 or DF70 is more desirable than a basic RYA safety boat with a single jockey with a Honda BF50 on the back. Genuine Ribcraft A-frame or internal fuel tank, that's a grand right there.

If you've only had it a couple of years, then you have a benchmark price to start from, plus the work you've invested in it, new trailer, etc.

Some examples here. Take the JBT price with a pinch of salt, but useful for an example of how it's been prepared.

They are a much sought after craft. If you’re not in a rush to sell & prepared to stick out for close to the asking, you will find a buyer. Like Spartacus said, the Suzuki is preferable to the Honda, but that’s a minor point. If it’s a nice well maintained tidy example, it should fetch circa £9k. They fetch a premium as they will fit into a standard garage (at a push) and on a drive.
