Chris,
We insure our BWM DS 21 through Mardon Insurance Brokers (I think the policy is with GA). I've found them to be competitive on premiums (a shade over £300 for our rig). Not personally ever had to claim from them but a mate of mine recently managed to turn his boat/trailer/Explorer over at 55mph on the A127. That was 3 wks ago - his boat is already being repaired whilst his car insurer's (Norwich Union) are still arguing the toss over his car!

HTH, Alan

I live in Jersey and I pay £135 for insurance on my 6.5m Tornado.

Through a local brokerage I am issured through Nautical Insurance Services Limited, 57 Elm Road, Leigh on Sea, Essex.

I don't know whether I got a very good deal as insurance over here tends to be cheaper anyway, but this was the most compentative price I got, the most expensive being well over £400.

The service appears to be very good and the cover is very good however, I have never had a claim so I don't know what they are like when it comes to getting money out of them.

Regards
Anton
