Lovely, great boat, i am picking up my new Osprey Falcon 8,2m shortly, really looking forward to it, my partner has a Viper 6m (same as yours, in uk it`s a 5,75m from transom to front, we meassure from back of tubes to front and than it`s 6,04m) and it`s a great boat, he has a 150VMAX on it, makes around 49knots.

PS: Boat from drawing is a Osprey Viper MAX 7m

Hi the photos of your new boat look great, 600 horses on the back of yours that is going to go some!
I have to make do with just 100 of the pushing mine, on a good day she will do about 35 knots.
Do you know what is going on with Osprey UK web site it seams to be permanently of line?
Keep posting the photos of your new Rib.

Olà;

Don`t know what`s happening with the site, maybe they working harder with the site Boat & Jetski
Try my site instead, ha ha
With 7 pesrons onboard the Falcon it made 63 knots, pretty good, ha ha, i have seats for 12 in total and i hope it can make over 60 knots, don`t think i will loose to much speed with the last 4 persons.
I keep you informed and will put in some more pics as soon as i have them.
35 knots sounds ok, we have same boat as you here in Swe and it makes 35 knots with a 115 hp 4 stroke, so it`s similiar.
Do you have any high res pics please send them by mail, i am collecting pics from Osprey, you have my mail in the profile.

PS: Hard to se what prop you have, it looks black, is it aluminum or painted SS, you can probably get one or two knots extra with another prop.

The prop is S/S but painted black! I get hold to slow down as it is by she how must be obeyed! So a prop change is not on the cards.
Hear are some photos of when I first bought her from my diving club.
She had been a bit neglected as you can see!
It looks as though she had been left to sink with only the tubes keeping her up as you can see from the mark around the stern!
She cleaned up pretty well in the end
Will send you some better photos
Nick

Plate says 1994 but I seem to remember 1993! The plate was added soon after we got her when she went back for some work on her By Osprey. That is if my memory serves me right!

Looked the engine up yesterday as it happens & came up with 1992 from the serial number
SER no. G 03095542
I found this formula on the Internet,

Johnson/Evinrude outboards from 1981 forward uses a two letter code derived from the
word Introduces to establish the model year. See matrix below.

I N T R O D U C E S
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0

Example: 1998 Evinrude 115 = E115TLECS the EC represents 98 or 1998.
