At least you'd never get stuck on the slipway, and wouldn't have to get your feet wet again, Keith

I am not sure as to whether it'd fold away tight enough to fit in the boot of the car though......

Hmmm...US Navy LCAC in nice one, but I know even better hovercraft available for you. Finnish Navy built one prototype delivered 2002 for missile carrier. The vessel is based on LCAC, size is about the same, but the plane itself is much more modern, crystal cockpit layout on aluminium-carbon firbe-aramide construction. Since the project was cancelled 1/2 year ago, the Navy is now selling the porotype. The building price of the hovercraft was 13,5 million euros, so may you offer 10 millions and craft might be yours.....it's a great vehicle, I got a rare opportunity to test drive it last November. During trials we made 64 knots easily (not me so fast though!), engines are 2x4000 hp Textron turbines.

Can't comment any details regarding the Boomeranger military boat, actually I don't know them by myself either.

I saw Hellenic CG boats earlier at website, they look nice. FB Design makes nice boats, absolutely worth closer investigation. RIB 55 is my favourite, shame I have not been able to test drive it. 4x800 hp Seateks, 85 knots in full control. One of my colleagues tested it and the performance was very good.
