Nobody’s belittling “The Solent Chop”, I’ve experienced it & it can be tasty. The point being made, is that other “Chops” are available. The Solent isn’t the be all & end all, as folk would find out if they cared to venture past Swanage/Selsey.

Anyway back to the subject. I’m assuming that the OP has either drowned/sobered up/busy trolling elsewhere, seeing as they haven’t been back to take onboard the valuable advice proffered. But it’s been fun.

I must say I'm shocked to see how few are posting these days!...and general insipid standard of a lot of the "in-put".

Seems a shame that a Forum I've certainly enjoyed and found of use for quite some time seems to be fading away slowly ...and pretty bereft of the amusing banter and variety of interaction of the real characters of earlier days...
....could it be yet another case of ..."Go Woke and Go Broke??"
Hope not...
Any opinions/ideas?

We'll don't you sarcastically bring up the Solent Chop every opportunity you can inc a couple of days ago on the first page of this thread, so people/you do belittle it, I also don't think anyone has ever said that there aren't other chops, however some people seem infatuated with mocking the South coast? Why?

Which was what?
I can’t believe that someone can get so defensive over a sea state FFS.

You could always stop bringing it up? Now there's a thought!
