Fishing Trip to SS Fram

Hi

Are any members interested in a fishing trip to the SS Fram for a spot of fishing? She lies in approximately 46m of water some 4 miles north of Pennan (Moray Firth).

The Fram was a bulk carrier and was sheltering from a storm in 1940. Tragically - she was torpedoed by U13 with a loss of 10 crew. The ship split in two. The stern acts as an artificial reef, and as such there's apparently lots of sea life in the vicinity.

see http://www.shipwrecksofscotland.com/ss_fram.htm

We normally launch from Rosehearty and head west towards Pennan. I would have a crew of 3 including myself, in a Zodiac Pro with Yamaha 40HP and back-up auxilliary. The sea state would need to be favourable - as it's uncomfortable in a lumpy sea.

Always better to have another boat in the area.
