Fibreglass purchase advice ?

Hi,

I am building a small jockey for my 4m srt, mainly to smarten things up a bit but also to give a bit more room in the boat for fishing etc.
I already have the seat so just need to build something around 3 feet high to accommodate the throttle, steering wheel, radio and a couple cup holders. I am going to build it with wood then coat in fibreglass.
Could anybody advise what I need to buy please, what GSM for the matt, how much ? and anything else I should consider ? Like maybe a glue to help holding it down....
so far I am looking at buying

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fibreglass-...68A5K84HDG7HMM

and
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Polycraft-4...PZWSTCHZFDHNCD

and
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07W63L6...NsaWNrPXRydWU=

I have the brushes, what else ?

I have everything required to sand down/cut and finish later on down the line, just want to get everything ordered in one go for the build!

Thanks for any help on this one

Having a look here will give you a good indication on what you need. These people seem to be the go to people for fibreglass bits and pieces.

I have some unopened fibrglass sheets and resin from fibreglass direct that I can probably spare if you need it. PM me if you are interested.

Thankyou for the offer, very much appreciated....Things have taken a turn and my uncle is building my console. He has everything needed and as an ex- boat builder i'm looking forward to seeing what he does.... I was kind of looking forward to doing it myself but I would only have messed it up...

I can afford to but another more modern rib that will meet all my needs but I am quite enjoying saving money for a change and working on what I already have!!!

It will turn out better, maybe not as good as a new rib but as long as it's fit for purpose i'll hopefully be content for the time being...
