I got a quote from them and they must be using a gold plated forklift for what they are charging!

Hi

What are the opening times etc on the dry storage facilities around Southampton and do they offer after an out of hour service

If they operate 8am - 5pm what happens when you get back at 8 pm?

James

Not sure how others work but with SDS you call them to have the boat in the water, I get there at 8.30 and the guys are already working and the boat ready on the dock, if you come back after they close you tie up to the dock and they will lift in the morning, they do not need you or the keys to lift the boat. However I think they work till after 8 most nights in the summer.

Matt,

Speak to Roger at Seaway on 02392 602722. Tell him you are a Haslar Sea School Customer, it won't hurt.

He's based in Haslar Marina, and his yard is at the other end of the entrance road leading to the 2 car parks. He also has an office in the Marina office area.

We dry stack our rib at Port Hamble. It is run by Hamble Yacht Services and you can do 6 months if required. They are alot cheaper than the quote I had from Hamble Point. Their number is 02380 454111.

Give Gill or Gareth a call at Drivers Dry berthing on 02380 233302. They have more experience than anybody in this area & operate a very friendly yard were nothing is to much trouble.
