Avon Seasport vs Seasport vs Adventure

Looking at buying an Avon rib for 12k, will be used for blatting around the Solent with a family of 4 - not in bad weather.

Here are the options;

Avon Seasport 5.45, 2011 Optimax 90hp 160hrs, brand new wiring, steering, battery etc. All the bells and whistles. £12,500

Avon Seasport 5.45, Yamaha 2 stroke 90hp 150hrs, boat could do with a service, nothing special. £6500

Avon Adventure 5.6, Yamaha f115 hours unknown, again basic kit. £16,000

Anyone have any experience with any of them and what would you reckomend?

Thank you

Seasport and adventures use the same basic hull but just different seating options - so there won't be a lot to differentiate these boats in terms of capability. I have a 4.5 adventure and its a surprisingly capable little boat so for family fun you should be fine.

The low hours 2 stroke yam could be quite appealing but might be needing some work if it has been neglected. I quite like to mess about with replacing cables etc but that might not be your cup of tea. I guess it boils down to whether you are looking for a small project or a turn key package. I wouldn't put much faith in engine hours as the number resets if the ecm is replaced - service history would be what i would be paying attention to.
