Avon Adventure 4.5

Having had a brief dalliance with a Honwave this summer I am looking at getting one of the above teamed with a 60hp Mariner 4 stroke both around the 2006 vintage.
Are there any horror stories to watch out for with either ?

The 4.5 will slam, I've got the 4.7 adventurer which has the Searider hull and it's awesome.
