Another "where to go" question!

Hi all,

Further to my "daytrip" question yesterday, I wondered if anyone knew of somewhere in the LAke District where you could park the car/trailer, launch onto a lake and end up at a pub/hotel with a jetty/mooring facilities?

My thought was to park up and head out onto the water for a couple of hours, then tie-up somewhere where we could stay overnight. That would definitely sell it to The Management - she might even allow us to get a double room instead of a twin!

I'm aware of Low Wood on Windermere, and there's the nice hotel on Ullswater which might work, but anywhere else?

Thanks!

Swan Hotel at Newby Bridge (Windermere), Lakeside Hotel (Windermere), Waterside Hotel (Ulleswater)
Stott Park Cottages (Self catering Windermere)

Don't forget you will need to register for Windermere.
