This shows why even in flat water and a small boat you should wear a kill cord.

I assume you're talking about the first clip in the vid. That also shows why you shouldn't be an idiot while piloting a boat (in addition to the kill cord. Surprised the guy didn't get whacked...)

I was in Corsica for the last two weeks and failed to see anyone wearing a kill cord or lifejacket the whole time I was there.

Even at the Rib rental place I looked and no one wore one. Even in the brochures they had, no Kill Cord or Life Jacket !

I must have been the only person wearing a LJ in the whole place. Either its the heat or slack attitude to H&S.

Mind you, I rode my motorcycle to the marina every day in shorts, tee-shirt and sandals. You wouldn't do that in the UK but you have the same risks.
