Finally bought a big RIB | Bombard 730 DB

Hello Everyone! Thought I would share some pics of my new RIB. It is a 2003 Bombard Explorer 730 DB with a 225 Yamaha


I purchased the boat and immediately had the tubes fixed (major leak in the aft sections of the tubes), completely refitted the boat with new electronics and did a major engine service.



We have put 80 hours on the boat since purchasing in March and it is amazing. Cuts through huge swells like nothing and rides very fast and comfortable. We love it for exploring the San Juans and cant wait to take it into inland BC waters to explore up there. Would also love to do a group RIB ride if anyone does that in Washington!



Some future plans are a new bigger console with glass windshield and a Wiper as well as 2 or 4 shock mitigating seats. I want to be able to canvas in 4 people behind the console in foul weather. The bigger console would also put my electronics up higher for a more heads up display. At the time of putting a new console on i would also do some other things Ive been wanting including:



- One more Garmin display for Dual screens

- Garmin Autopilot

- AIS

- Red LED Cabin lights

- Full Hydroturf floor and non slip patches on the tubes

- Cut out a compartment in the aft hollow floor and possibly add a small water tank with a wash down



If anyone has suggestions fitting a custom console to a RIB please let me know! I am located in the Seattle, WA area and i'm sure there are some shops that will build a console locally.
