I had an ACT Enforcer Durajet on mine. It felt very smooth compared to a regular prop. It only took about 20-30% throttle to hold it on plane...I could get it down to ~9 mph before it fell off plane.

I have a Durajet as well but it needs a rebuild I was thinking about getting a standard jet though and wondered if it would work on an fc470

Remember standard jets are generally heavier. Jet outboards loose about 20% of their power from the head to the jet so the power heads are in most cases a much larger HP than the HP that you get at the lower end . The ACT pump jet does not have this problem.

For example a Yamaha 40hp jet is 30hp at the jet.
