Where do you put yours and why

The fuel tank I have seems to have an excessive amount of hose on it. I assume causing the fuel pump additional strain. How much hose do you have on yours. Where in the boat do you locate it and why. Thanks guys

Enough to fit the tank in the bow would be normal. It won't bother the lift pump. Moving the tank forward can help with planing and stability in chop.

If your fuel line is too long, your tank isn't forward enough.

The back of your boat should be empty.

All the weight should be upfront.

Sit as forward as possible and shift your weight forward to help get on plane faster.

Wot Jeff said... depending on other loading/no of persons the fuel tank could be anywhere from adj the transom to right in the bow. Too much bow weight can lead to bow steer which feels horrible.

I have a Milpro fuel bladder which is a great bit of kit, it hangs off the grab line down the port side. Takes up hardly any room & is soft & forgiving. Makes for good weight distribution too.

You can pick them up off ebay now & then. That’s where I got mine from.

Thanks everyone went out today, after replacing the fuel line. Managed to start OBM definitely a knack.

Happy days.
