Yes an Aerotec indeed. As you say bit short on detail... bit short on pics too. Good value at the start price... too much at the buy it now... and a reserve... I hate reserves on Ebay.... can't bear to follow something and/or bid a few time then after a few days find an unrealistic reserve still not met.

Totally agree, secret reserves are a waste of everyone's time. They should just set a starting bid at the reserve price.

It'll be on ebay next week if it doesn't sell on here first... although a mate has just said he's interested in it (which means I can continue to use it in the future ) so he's got first dibs at the moment!

Not a SIB i know - but this looks lot of RIB for the money - especially if engine hours are genuine?? Don't know the Ceasar brand, but does look quite flat hull, guessing not for the very rough stuff or are pictures misleading?

ceasar 8.5 metre rib

Professional repairs could be circa £200 for the air floor seams? It looks like it's getting on a bit so would expect transom or even floor seam 'issues' I think Firstrib paid about £150 for transom only. Not economic if shop repaired so one for the diy'er, maybe?

ID:	119371 a few places where I can get the edge of a finger in between the tube/floor/transom seam.

The floor has had glue sprayed into the valves and inflated to pressure to force 'glue' (he said some kind of pvc glue) into the leaking areas along with external patches at the rear end

All three tube valves have leaking inner spring seals (not sure if what they're called) but stop leaking when the outer valve is closed.. taking off the outer cap you can bear a slow hiss

Brackets for launching wheels are present but have been screwed to the transom and are rusting/rusted. Would need to be drilled out and SS bolts used

Told him I'd have a think - buying some time until folk that know more about these floors than me happen past this thread [emoji2]
Would the spray in glue cause problems? I'd guess it would coat all surfaces inside the floor..

Last post from me on the details of this one, detracting from subject slightly! This is the 'glue' I mentioned https://www.tridentuk.com/gb/product...-53-98-10.html

Oh I retract my "it's worth a punt".

Personal thoughts are that floor is worse than any other I've seen and adding "gunge" might have ruined it if it sticks up the thousands of internal threads that make up an air floor. I thought that stuff was designed for low pressure tubes??

Also it looks like pretty well all the floor seams need doing and to get at the central ones you'll have to cut the floor joining flap for access then re-make it.

As a comparison Big Al C on here has his Aerotec in ready to go condition at £650 and its a boat with history known to the forum going back years. I reckon that one you've seen has far more than £350 worth of grief to get it sorted.

I did wonder about the gunge, glad he was honest about that. Nice guy by the way.

'Worse than any other I've ever seen' is good enough for me, most seams were peeling so for peace of mind and with your comments agreed it would take some major work - at least for the hobbyist - to put right

Don't know much about the boat, outbound could be in the £600-£800 region?
