Adding USB socket

I've got a spare fuse bus on my console. The other three are for Bildge Pump, Nav Lights and GPS.
I'm thinking of installing a 2xUSM socket and a cigarette lighter socket off the spare fuse. Can't see me using the USB and cigarette at the same time.
Am going to buy sockets with covers for when not in use.
Anyone with any thoughts or suggestions please?

Given that it's possible to buy marine cigarette lighter sockets that don't corrode internally, I'd be tempted to go that way and use a USB adapter.

That is,unless you want to have a look at the Bulgin Buccaneer range as they do proper waterproof USB sockets.

I have one of these on the SIB, pretty bomb proof & still waterproof with a cable plugged in.

Different things, need different size fuses. That is why a fuse box has several fuses in it, to run different things.

Running more than one thing off one fuse will confuse things. (Get it, con - fuse) oh never mind.

Helps with protection even more if it's located inside a Marine grade-Utility/Glove Box ....expensive but very handy and versatile.Mine is lockable too
