old suzuki dt 7.5 outboard sparkplugs

Hello everyone,
I went to my local machinery mart today and i was suprised by the number of outboards for sale and for how cheap they were going for, so i picked one up.
A Tomos 4.5hp that looked in good nick sold for £12 ( wish i bought it now ) I johnson seahorse for £10 and a yamaha 8hp 4 stroke that sold for £120.
I however picked up suzuki dt(?) 7.5hp outboard for £40.

You'd be lucky to buy an outboard at our local mart that runs as they usually go for pretty cheap, however its almost always something simple like a dirty carb ( or atleast it usually has been in my friends case ).

The case on the suzuki 7.5 is cracked, and it is missing a spark plug, however the engine isnt seized and their is very good compression. I literally ordered a compression tester 2 days ago for my motorbike, so ill be able to give an actual reading when it arrives, if thats of any use to you. The gear shifter also seems to function properly.

Basically I am wanting to get 2 new sparkplugs for it, seeing as one is missing anyway. The outboard is pretty old, and ive been struggling to find out what plugs to get for it.

The current single plug in it is a "w22 fs u" however when i look these up they say they are meant for vespa scooters?

Any reccomendations on a sparkplug and anything else i should check on the outboard before i proceed to try and get it running would be appreicated.

Thanks all,
Rex

here is a picture of an identical outboard i found online:
apparently they arent very popular and there doesnt seem to be many, if any parts for them in the uk.

Hi mate,
Thanks for the input but I sold the outboard for a small loss quite some time ago. I've now got a 17ft displacement hull clinker styled fiberglass fishing boat along with a 2 stroke mariner 8hp which is running well apart from the fact is doesnt like idling :P When I pull the boat out the water for the winter I'll give the carb a good clean and see if that sorts it

That's a shame over the sale...
I have the DT9, cracking little 2 stroke...
Regardless of the "best used as an anchor " quote by the masses on here, I had 16/17 knots out of it on the solent last weekend with two up.
