Max engine hp

I have a 2005 ribeye s650, great boat, does what I want however, when boat if fully loaded I fans 150hp inadequate, I feel the boat can easily handle more power.
I have an opportunity to buy a 2009 f225 Yamaha, it’s only 30kg heavier. I know boat is rated for the weight but max hp is 150 .
Any comments or thoughts would be great!

Apologies, max hp is 200, the 200 & 225 are the same weight, so I presume my only issue will be insurance.

You will probably have issues with your insurance company but perhaps someone will insure it..? Why don't you change propellers depending on load? Use a three blade for light/normal loads and a four blade with lower pitch for heavier loads.

My zodiac future has a 60 hp. It’s rated for 40 recommendation and 50 max. But 40-60 are same motor. I love the extra power. In USA I have insurance but it was the 3 company I checked

Thanks for replies, found out engine I was interested in has over 2000 hours so going to persevere with current setup. Will keep on looking for a 200hp 4 stroke replacement.
