Kill cord on Mariner 40hp MSL 2000

Hi everyone, my Mariner 40hp year 2000 (serial OP070806) has only a button stop. No kill cord option. Can I have a kill cord fitted? Any idea of amount of money this would cost?
Thank you

Just buy one for a 40hp 2/stroke, and dont forget the retaining clip either. Black with yellow strip to same wire, and black wire to a clean earth.

Thanks Guys

It is a manual, pull cord starting outboard. Where will I find the wires I need to add the kill cord circuit into?
Also anyone know where to find manuals for old outboards? Then I could learn more about it!

You will /should find the wires behind the CDM(coils to you) mounting plate, manuels I dont know unless you buy a proper service manual from a merc/mar dealer.
