Hydro steering

having always been in the 150/200hp out board, fitted range on my vessels

have been using seastar system for what seams an age,
I am about to fit a 225hp any recomendation on a sensibly priced system to use,

to make it worse I have a new seastar kit here but only rated up to 150hp,,, or can I just update one end of this kit? engine end I presume!

Hi Edd, I thought seastar was rated to 300HP and its the baystar that is for 150 and below.

We have just fitted a seastar kit to Taurus with the adjustable helm, really nice set up but quote pricey at about £900.

Ultralfex is the other one that Aquafax sell, I have used it in the past and it was fine...

I have always fitted the rear cylinder that is fixed to the front of the outboard and is static so no moving pipes, however Hypro suggested that whilst rated to 300 its not as strong as the Seastar.
