compression on a mercury 75hp
hi can anyone tell me what the compression should be on a 1996 mercury 75hp its around 110psi at the moment is that a bit low cheers tim

110 psi doesn't sound too bad. Are you testing with the engine warmed up and WOT?
I was always taught that the important thing to check for was variation between cylinders - are they all around 110 psi?

hi chris yeah they are all around 110psi and thats from cold so that sounds ok then cheers tim
