Sold in the UK by K.C. Irving Ltd in Carlisle. Tel: 01228 674284

Argocats also sold by Walsh & co Tel: 01686 413151. www.argocat.com

There's also a similar type of vehicle called a Scottrack sold by company of the same name. Tel: 01667 455592. Web: www.scot-track.co.uk

You'll be bloody lucky to get one of either of these 2nd hand for a grand though. Stop being such a tight-arsed Scouse git trying to get something for nothing all the time. Anyway, I'm sure Helen's got some more jewellery you can pawn over in Bootle shopping precinct, failing which you could always nick one

So, why do you suddenly need a 4x4 or 6x6?

Thankx for that info Phil, I'll go and have a browse. Maybe a grand is being a little tight - I'll revisit the atic and see what's worth parting with.

Brochure...

on its way from Argocat. Very nice people....Will need to spend more than a grand, more like 2.5. Anyway, I'll keep you informed. In the meantime, if anyone knows of one of these vehicles for sale, please advise.

Argocat

Don't know what they are called, but the MOD use what looks like an Argocat on Steroids. 6x6 running 20" low ground pressure tyres, big turbo diesel and roll cage. Handlebar steering driving steered axels (not skid steer like Argo's). Will do about 65mph on tarmac and not a lot less on the loose. They swim and will climb the side of a house. I was told the cost is around 50k new.
Saw several out in the Faulklands a couple of years ago.
I would cash in both Landies and a right arm for one.

What you really want is a M561 Gama Goat!

6x6 articulated amphibious beast powered by a supercharged 3 cylinder 2-stroke diesel engine

There was a gama goat for sale on milweb.net for, I think, 2K recently. There's all sorts of interesting off road vehicles that crop up on there.

And ruin £4000 worth of surperb design?

I use it to move the paintball "troops" around.

Loved them for years, since my dad came home with one in 1982 and took it us up the woods in it, all the kids wearing their combats and plastic guns, well cool!

Now i own one!

Andy,
If you think that's "ruined", you won't be too impressed with my mate's Judge Dredd then... Raised the odd eye brow when we drove it down Broad Street in Brum....

I suppose the Judge Dread has its own value apart from the film was junk, movie stuff is quite cool. It would be mad driving it though.

I took the 101 home last night and then into town to get a kebab. Some kids were stood by a load of cones they had but accross the road, waiting to see if i got out and had to move them (or mug me) i just drove over them at 40 mph lol.

Whilst we are talking about 4x4's, Phils Range Rover..........what a bit of kit that is! Made it up the nastiest hill on the whole 4x4 course yesterday on road biased tyres, totally amazed at the traction control. Superb bit of engineering and top bloke for giving it ago, definatly someone who likes to use a vehicle for its intened use although i dont think i would go out on a rib with him........
