LR Discovery 3 Charging/Battery issues

Hi to all

Can you please help, we have a LR Disco 3 that was causing problems with loads of lights on the dash resulting in it conking out and then it would not start, jumped started it drove it home, charged the battery off the mains and same again - so a new battery was fitted.

Now we just have the one battery light on the dash and it seams to be charging with an increase in volts if its left at idle. Thru fear of the new battery I shut it down and turned to Ribnet, now what should I do.

No jokes from the Jap boys please...

Toby

I'd definitely suggest you pop over and visit us at Disco3.

However, I would agree it looks like your alternator regulator pack has decided to call it a day.

Changing the Alternator on a D3 isn't too bad a job even, the most difficult bit I had was getting the viscous fan off.
