Bass rock in the height of summer is an amazing sight (and smell), according to the Seabird centre guides there almost as many birds in flight and at sea around the rock as there are on it -made up of the young the and non breeding birds.

We came up the coast from amble to port Edgar on a slightly hazy day & we could smell the rock before we saw it
