I will be monitoring ch 16 / 77 from around 0945, aiming to launch from Calshot 1000 - 1015, and leaving Calshot heading west up The Solent around 1030am.

I will be at the slip 9.30 - 10.00 - probably just me as the ayatollah has a sore throat!

Are you still planning on going for a blast eastwards to meet up with us heading the other way?

I definitely will be - think one or two others may as well. I will be out the river about 10.30 and will cross over towards Newtown and up the island shore. Think Maximus may possibly be coming on my boat for a blast. Matt obviously thinks he's too heavy and will slow him down.

I plan on coming along from Poole, with 1 crew. Launching at 10:00, and should be in Yarmouth around 11:30-12:00. Looking forward to my first ribnet cruise.

Yes - actually the boat lives in the water. It's on the pontoon directly in front of the RLYC. I will head to the slip and see if anyone needs help and then it's very easy for me to just cast off and go. If you are coming in a separate car to Matt park on the far left of the car park as you come in - by the water. You will see the RIb directly in front. I will be at the slip by 9.30 and we can head off about 10.00 - you are very welcome to join me. Can I ask you to bring a lifejackets if you do. All my spares are in for service.

hi indaba1991.
I know it will be obvious when I'm there but I haven't launched in lymington for years.
is there a pontoon to tie up on after launching?
Also I have an iffy fuel connector on my second tank, been meaning to get one. where is the best place that would be open at 9am?
doesn't matter if I can't get one it's been as is for months! oops.

Hi there - yes very good launch spot and pontoons with water to tie up to. There are three main boat shops, one at the Haven Marina, one behind Berthon (Force 4) and one on town quay. All well stocked with bits and open from 9.00. There is also a main Suzuki dealer (SAL) at the small RIB stack towards the station as well as Dave Crawford Marine further on by rail crossing. So many options for you

Cheers, I will probably get to the slip a bit earlier then and spend some time prepping my boat. That way I wont hold up anyone whos a bit more competent than me at launching
(trying not to forget anything, as this will be the second time Ive launched on my own)
Then I can be ready to tag along with you guys and ensure I meet up with the rest.
I just need a bit of time to play with the Radio, Plotter etc and get used to it all. Its hard to simulate it on the driveway at home.
I will probably get there for 8.30-9.00 then. In the water 30mins after that.

Ok - will be there to help out if needed - my earlier post was confusing as I read yours as Maximus! (He may come on my boat for a blast)
