Tall ships Regatta Falmouth August 2014

We are taking our 4.25m RIB to Falmouth to watch the tall ships regatta, probably launching from Mylor and staying locally in our Motorhome.

No firm plans as yet, anyone interested?

Another 500,000 people on the shoreline, the roads clogged with tall-ship spotters and no room to move on the water....you gotta love a proper stick an' string fest.

Lol, that's why I will be parking the camper up in the car park and leaving the boat in the water and not moving for 4 days.
Let all the others fight with parking etc!

Lol.
Well we rarely use campsites because of the cost and the fact we don't want or use any of the facilities, we are self contained and the 4 of us can last 5 days in the camper before we need to re fill with water etc etc.

I have been going to devon more than cornwall lately as there are many many carparks on the harbourside or seafront that your allowed to stay overnight in the camper in.

Been to north and south Wales, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset nearly every other weekend in 2013.
never stayed on a site and never been turned away from anywhere I asked if we could stay.
pub carpaks etc.

The only horrible place is Bridport in Dorset. your not even welcome there during the daytime in a camper van!!!

If you plan a trip, Hotels are already almost booked up, we have booked some clients in locally and I am staying close by and running a cruiser and at least one rib for them, expect it to be very busy shore and water side

Chaos WILL ensue.
