Forecast for campers not looking to good, we might sneak into Bembridge on the beach during the evening tide to get out of the wind if it blows up.

Heres a pic of the way we come in when the tide is lowish.

As was said earlier the water is deepest on the right hand side ( Ryde side) as you approach the bay.

the sand bar I've marked and the way we come in in red arrows. The rocks are quite clear and are a good way of recognising the approach. Dont forget to turn before ya hit em

Whilst I am out to dinner in Bembridge on Saturday evening, 20.00 to 22.30, if I can help anybody should they have any probs, I live near the beach at Bembridge harbour, I also own a holiday park at Whitecliff bay, and for the campers, if the weather gets bad I could run some of you up to park to camp Foc. of course. or if any of you are camping on Bembridge beach, I could supply some hot liquid refreshement early am. Just for info.there are public loos over the road from the bembridge beach opposite the Pilot boat inn. I hope to pop around to Priory early evening Sat. to say "hello". will be launching from camber dock at 9 am, is anyone else launching from there or going for a spin prior to getting over to the beach for lunch?

Chris, we will also be launching from Camber, but not as early as 9am. I've got to drop my car off for MOT at 9am, so will probably not be launching until about 1030-1100ish. Anyone else around about the same time?

Excellent day. Saw Slim Tim's rib for the first time, that console is a work of art

Jimbo and Rich did a "King Arthur" on the sausages, but we did manage to introduce the students to green edible plants, even if it meant Kathleen dowsing the greens in Pimms. Taking of which Kaths Pimms cocktails have been refined and now have the same effect as Icleandic Fire water
