Solenteers BBQ Trip Priory Bay 8/9 July ; 'Smoke on the Water'!!!

Hey there fellow Ribnetters,

Hoping the weather continues to be gorgeous, we were thinking of heading across to Priory Bay weekend of 8/9 July and there munch some half-cooked bits and bobs.

Some local peeps are developing the habit of dragging people behind their boats on wakeboards and lilos and suchlike.

Bring your own grub/disposable BBQ but if you forget then usually there's loads to go around.

Of course others have now got fancy boats with cosy little cuddies for those essential afternoon naps.

Lazing on the beach is often the preferred activity!!!

Not forgetting the monthly Solent gathering on the Monday night will also involve a BBQ on the Hill with some speeching in honour of Hightower's recent 40th!!!!!

Look forward to meeting up!

K & P

I might well be up for this, although some company from yarmouth/lymington end would be great incase my homemade blue peter boat falls apart

If the boat isn't booked out for training I will also aim to be in attendance. I would suggest not letting me near BBQ's though - flaming results often don't please everybody!

If I can make it, I'd be happy to shoot down to yarmouth and do the trip up with you

Yep we are up for this, which one are we going for Sat or Sunday? or even both with a bit of camping

HW Saturday 1006 (ish) 3.9m
LW Saturday 1510 (ish) 1.6m
HW Sunday 1100 (ish) 4.1m
LW Sunday 1600 (ish) 1.5m

Ribs might have to drop peeps off on the beach, then anchor off or be there until sundown

Now that is a good idea, camping on the beach.

Excellent news Slimtim, Jimbo, Ben, Pop, Nauti, Neal & Pete. (Sounds like an episode from the Waltons!!!!)

Camping...now there's an idea

Nodes' Point campsite (nearby) has some availability for those of you with large gangs to cater for ! Slimtim or others may know of other campsites?

nearby campysite
(Any unauthorised camping could never of course be recommended by us although Zippy, DJL and Martin are inclined to absolutely insist on it at times!!!)

Pete 7 many thanks for all the research into tides !!! Mental note to self : never again try to help dig a Pac outta the sand!!!!
