Solent to Poole - Saturday 19 July 2008

high tides are over lunchtme next weekend.
Weather permitting (not looking too bad at the moment according to metcheck), thinking of running over to Poole for lunch if anyone fancies tagging along. Went 2 or 3 times last year, and it's quite a good run for those who have not done it.

Andy, I am definitely still out, but has to be Saturday, as friends are coming too and it's been arranged for ages.
If the weather takes a turn for the worse, will stay London way and do the rib trip another time.
May end up just playing round the solent, but will play it by ear, alas, Sunday is out, better day or not.

still playing by ear and second guessing the forecast.
Will probably end up playing in solent, as the winds are quite high this week it seems, which will probably leave a nasty swell out there, and I will have new crew on board, no point putting them off.

Not likely to get to Lymington until 12:15, maybe a tad earlier but not much. That'll be a late lunch in Poole then!

Still waiting sand seeing!

Well I'm definatly going out Saturday one way or other. Solent is fine if the weather is crap and a trip to the Needles is on the cards if not further afield. Round Island would be cool with a stop at Ventnor a possibility, but again if the wind lets us....Suck it and see!

not convinced about the weather but still out tomorrow. Preferring something like Hightowers plan though, maybe round to Ventnor (good tides for that)?

What do peeps think?

don't blame you - I might knock mine on the head totally! BBC reckons 30mph winds! Not sure where that was for though. Sunday looking much better!

Will probably poke my head out the harbour tomorrow as planned as Sunday isn't an option for me.
