overnight mooring

I have advised Littlehampton Marine of the cruise and have been told that some mooring placed can be arranged. All fees must be paid directly to the Marina .

We need to establish who will be berthing where

1/ Littlehampton Marina

2/ Arun View

3/ Visitor's mooring by the Harbour Master's office (a charge will be made by the Harbour Master ) This is a good place for those staying at the Nelson Hotel Quayside B & B

Berthing

Hi Andre

We are staying at the Nelson so I guess by the harbour master would be good for us. I'm not a good "coming alongsider" though and Iain plans on making me do all that stuff, so if its difficult there then I'd prefer a nice spacious berth (with no audience!)

Cheers
Rosie

Rosie have no fears you will do OK and as for the audience well I can guarantee there will be enough

overnight mooring

Had a telephone chat with Colin the Harbour Master today and advised him of the cruise. I was not due to speak to him till later in the month but the news of the Power Boat race speeded matters up. Anyway our cruise is in his diary and mooring at the Visitor's Mooring has been arranged. The overnight charge for this is £15.00 per rib and payable directly to the harbour office. They are not very excited about the race as it does not bring any revenue to Littlehampton whereas the cruise does cos we have to purchase fuel, eat, drink and sleep so as far as Colin is concerned we are more important. It was nice to hear that.

May I just remind all concerned that a speed limit of 6 knots applies in the Littlehampton waters and heavy penalties can be imposed

We've planned a camping trip with some friends going to Witterings that weekend. Not getting there till Saturday am, so is there a plan for Saturday afternoon? Are you thinking of going up the river again, or something different? We would probably launch at Bracklesham, (tide permitting) and come round from there.

Would be good to meet up if possible wth time to get back late afternoon/early evening (sorry - can't do Arun View).

Thanks

Mike

Mike

the tide is just spot on to go up the river and if most want to go then I do not see a problem . Lunch can be either at the Arun View or the Black Rabbit
which is past Arundel. It is a nice trip and can only guess that most will like to do this.
Sorry you can't make the evening but will you be joining on route those coming from the Solent
