Hi Julian
We are being inundated with visitors at the mo The problem I am having with the Deauville cruise is that we have S.African friends who live in Hungary (of all places!) and they are coming to Jersey over that period. I can afford a jaunt up to Alderney but think it would be very rude to disappear for the whole week-end. Sorry , they only confirmed on Tuesday.
Let me know about your trip to Alderney. I will let Steve know - he owns Chris Strickers old Seahound - lives in Alderney. I'm sure he would like to meet up too.

Come up to Alderney with me to meet the Deauville cruise as well.
I knew the MBY one was soon but i didnt realise that soon!

Trust you to be in the know

It will be good to get involved and see them all. So please do give me a call.

Also it would be lovely to go up to Alderney and meet the BIBOA crowd.

There isn't anything happening this weekend though is there? As I am back off to Guernsey on Saturday.

Thank You Charles

Hotel Bookings

Morning Folks

I have been in contact with the IBIS hotel over the weekend which is where we are all staying in Deauville this year, Unfortunately i cannot make reservations for you all, The reason for this is its now their policy to take a credit card number for each booking etc. Can I ask you each to call the IBIS Hotel 0033231145000 and make your own bookings.

Sorry about this but last year i had no problems making the bookings, french people for you.

Hi Julian,

Dylan and I are booked into the Hotel Continental: just round the corner from the IBIS as far as I can tell.

Their website is http://atel-hotels.com/gb/ if anybody else needs it.

Cheers
Daniel

Hi Daniel

Great news hopefully any one else who has any problems booking hotels can try this one as well. The whole town seems to be filling up fast at the moment. Its a very popular place to go.

I got into the IBIS for Friday night but Saturday is proving a pain.
I tried the above suggested link but I cant get in there either!!!
Now tried 6/7 hotels for 2 single rooms. Would pay the extra for 2 double rooms but cant find availability for that either.
Help anyone?

Deauville 2003

Afternoon Everyone

Just to keep you up todate with things. It now looks like were going to have a great crowd of people joining us on this event. My last count was 10 Ribs but there are still another 3 waiting to come back to me, If every one makes it we should have about 35 people. I will be posting waypoints on the site next week for us to use, Obviously this only applies to those leaving from the Isle of Wight area as we have 3 boats traveling via the channel islands.

All we need now is the weather.

Deauville Cruise

Afternoon Everyone

As this event is drawing nearer now i thought i would post an update for you all. It looks like everyone has managed to find accomodation now. I have faxed the harbour master with all our boat info so we all have moorings etc.

Can everyone make sure that they bring with them their proof of insurance and proof of purchase for the boats as they are sometimes needed and that all those taking part are members of BIBOA.

During the cruise we will be using VHF CH 77 for comms etc. I will post the names of all boats travelling with us here on the site so you can get in contact with each other if you need to. I will post a meeting waypoint as well on Friday this week where hopefully we will all meet at the same time. Then its a case of 1st person to the bar etc.

Any questions please call either my self or Roger Lyas on 01732 866553 or my mobile 07747033506.

Look forward to see you all next friday.
