When is the appetite ? Would suggest after registration in the marina office, same as last year.
If you remember we lost quite a few to the local watering hole

Times and tides wise... yea we were able to get quite far up, getting the tides perfect about two hours after falling tide. Issue being that if we are to go, then really, we will probably have to go regardless of tides, to suit the flotialla time and make it up as far as possible.

Generally, most boats should be ok up to O Connell bridge (city centre)
getting further up, as you can see, the bridges get lower, the channel narrows and gets a little sportier, things need timed much tighter to get minimum clearance, as photos show.

But regardless of tides, I'd suggest a cruise as was done last year.
On a good day, its a nice little run, and total distance from O Connell bridge to DL Marina is only 7NM so not a huge time / gas investment.
Its certainly worth the effort it might be better to go up river before we book in the marina twas the highlight of the cruise last year for me I,m sure most would like to do this if possible

I would rather go straight up before we go to the marina will save some trailing about and if not everyone wants to go they can book in and refuel
