We'll be coming over (mum, dad , two children) mid week - either Wednesday or Thursday (weather dependant) and camp until Sunday morning when we'll head back to Poole. Anyone else coming from Poole or Solent would be welcome to head over with us so PM me to discuss.

I'll be there, but I'm cheating by living here... If I can be any help with logistics this end, by all means get in touch and I'll help if at all possible.

We hope to be there (again) - probably just me and Pam.
We'll be camping as usual.
Depending on the weather, we might head to Plymouth first for the British Firework Championship 2017, that is being held on Wednesday 9th August and Thursday 10th, then head over to Alderney on Friday 11th.

Otherwise well probably be going over from the Solent on Thursday or Friday, and probably returning Sunday.

As ever - it's all weather dependent!

The forecast for Thursday is currently looking optimum, of course it can change but is anyone else planning to leave for Alderney Thursday from the Solent or Poole/Weymouth area ? We'd like some company going over.

So far we've made it to Weymouth (last night ). Hopefully on to Plymouth today for the fireworks tonight and tomorrow then maybe on to Alderney if the weather’s ok.

We had a great run round to Plymouth - the six firework displays over the Wed and Thursday evenings all lived up to expectations!
Unfortunately I'd twinged my back/ aggravated my sciatica whilst turning round on the boat in Weymouth (not even moving on the water!) so spent the days in Plymouth hobbling about, then we got Rick to come and take the boat back at the weekend as I was struggling to walk even 100 metres. Fortunately the weather on Friday wasn't really up to making a dash for Alderney anyway so at least that wasn't really a missed opportunity for more fireworks.

Next time you can always say hello by calling on Ch 16 (we're normally monitoring it).

Trev
