RIBase
Is the forum guessing where you are part of your (new) navigational tactics?

Frankly I am almost too envious to look at the pictures.

We made a new friend about ten Nm from home. His jet had calved. Nice bloke and a fast tow resulted in a nice wad of cash that is even now winging it's way to the RNLI coffers. If only all assisted mariners were as generous!

Cheers! "Keep 'em guessing" was always my motto but with us running AIS TX the guessing must have been easy!

Thread motivation was the discovery that the seas were calm enough to use the phone to post and I was getting 4G all over the place. Last trip up there I could barely get working wifi, now it was possible to post "in situ" off the west coast of Tiree. It didn't result in much coherence on my part - see the conflation of North/South Rona. Posting on RIBnet probably not the best plan while in the Nav seat monitoring the radar in 50m viz of fog in the Minch
