Thanks all for the replies. I've now been told that the issue may well be with the water supply from the yacht club, which can be variable. That may well explain why it worked for 'someone' some time...

Ethanol in fuel is a big issue if you have a polyester resin fibreglass tank. The resin goes soft, not great for a fuel tank :eek:
Vinylester resin fuel tanks are for all practical purposes...

There is a lot of difference in terms of performance between a 5m and a 6m, particularly when conditions get a bit less than ideal, and also internal space will vary...
