rather than repower my aging 13' RIB with a quiet, smooth 4-stroke, I was looking for a way to attach an electric trolling motor somewhere. There's no room on the transom.

Fiberglass bottom with...

actually let me retract part of that...the glue is not a "two-part" type of deal, it's a use-alone tube.

Hey guys

I couldn't get the valve out so I couldn't remove what water there was inside. I'm sure it was a small amount.

I used the sealant from WM and at first it would bubble out the leak....

I thought those internal sealants worked mostly on soft inflatables that you could shake around to distribute the stuff around the tube?

I tried an external patch today (actually that stretch-tape...

Hypalon patch

This is the first time I've had a significant enough leak in one of my tubes to do a patch. It produces bubbles from underneath when I'm inflating in the water.

There seem to be a lot of options...

I had to search my computer for any pics of boat's transom and this is as good as it gets. The one that is upside down actually shows a good view of the corroded release valve and the bottom part of...

tilt/trim options for my 35 hp Johnson

It appears that at least the trim motor and possibly the tilt cylinder are shot on my 13' RIB Johnson 35 hp 2 stroke. A full replacement of the unit is about $1100 and and I;m guessing about $300 in...

Troubleshooting trim motor 35 hp Johnson

Trim motor slowed down to a crawl after a rainstorm and then stops altogether. The battery is fine. I can hear gurgling noise from the trim motor when I try to operate. I have never personally...

four blade prop for following seas?

My boat seems to really bog down in following seas, to the point that it scares me a little. It is a 13' AB console with 35hp Johnson.

Is there any point in trying out a four-blade prop to...

Prop helped with RPMs, gave me a little oomph

The 4-blade prop was a 16 pitch! I don't really know why they would have done that. This season I barely made 4100 rpms with the prop.

Switched to a 3-blade 13 pitch prop. WOT can exceed 6000rpm...
