You can also look at the Arctic which is similar to the Atlantic and Pacific, very heavy build, rides rough seas exceptionally well. The open transom isn't a problem for me as I'm usually wearing a drysuit. I would say that the Arctic is more fun with decent engines than a Pacific, but then the fuel costs are pretty different. There's usually a few kicking about for sale second hand.
