Terrible incident in Cornwall

My thought and prayers with the family... It's the 2nd incident this year involving a cobra rib....

Hardly Cobra related though. Kill cords are fitted to all Ribs for a reason

Terrible news.

I have a similar boat and have been out in some pretty nasty stuff, I can not imagine how you could make a boat that size react so violently to throw 6 people out. The hull is very forgiving and in three years I haven't noticed any catching, bow steer, or other nasty habits. Maybe trimmed in, too fast and an awkward wake? We will have to wait to find out.

Tragic that simply wearing the kill cord would have avoided loss of life. Thoughts are with the family.

Yes the other incident happened in solent.... Not sure if the ribs are overpowered or not....

Very sad news indeed. It sounds like the kill cord either wasn't being worn, or the switch failed. I hope and pray that the injured get well soon.
