Project Novu

I recently acquired this Novurania 550 DL. She chose me so I decided to give her some needed TLC.

She is 5.5 m long and has a 24 degree deadrise at the transom. She has roughly 41 degree deadrise at the entry at about 2 feet back from the bow.

Twin Yamaha F70's have been chosen for the drive.

Below is what we have done so far:

Arrival, front tube chamber is busted and leaks on the others. A retube is in order.

Fixed the nicks and scrathches on the bottom and painted the hull.

Cut the tubes out and scrubbed the bilge and deck. A chicken had made a home at the helm and some of her eggs fell into the bilge and cracked. Damn it stunk!

Here I am trying to figure out the gauge/instrument layout.

It turned out like this

I will try to make the Command Link Plus display work with twin F70's. It has been done before with single F70's. Basically the CLP polls data from the network and the network should report in NMEA 2000 protocol. All parameters may not be displayed but it would be nice to see fuel tanks and fuel rate on the color display.

The chartplotter/GPS/sounder is the Raymarine Dragonfly. Cant wait to use it...
